Methods for Creating Prospects for Multi-Level Advertising

Methods for Creating Prospects for Multi-Level Advertising

If there's one thing you need in order to succeed in MLM or network marketing, it's leads. You can have the best firm, the best compensation plan, and the best upline in the world, but if you don't have leads, you'll never succeed financially. You'll also need a large quantity of leads because you can't possibly sign everyone as an agent.

Several criteria, including your competence and your business, will determine how many you'll need. You won't feel pressured to sign every lead you get if you have a large number of them. If you have twenty to thirty people in line for your call, it's much easier to turn down the one who doesn't fit the bill. There are other things at play, but if you have leads and employ them, you've already made significant progress.

This article's goal is to provide some suggestions for making the process of generating those leads as straightforward as possible. In reality, they're just regular folks like you and me on the lookout for a better life, but for the sake of clarity and consistency, we'll use the term "lead" throughout this piece.

Let's talk about several methods for finding new MLM prospects.

Contact all of your contacts and ask for recommendations.
Give them the lowdown on your thriving company and the many ways they may contribute to its success as customers or affiliates. If you've made a good decision and have faith in your business, you shouldn't have any issues with this. If you aren't confident you have a wonderful business, maybe you should keep looking. If you want to know if your business is worthwhile, ask yourself if you would sign up a close friend or family member. Consider whether you would buy the product regardless of the price. If the response is no, you may want to keep looking.

Construct high-ranking lead capture sites and submit them to search engines.
Potential customers interested in your business will be found this way. Getting a website to the top of search engine results isn't a simple or quick process, as everyone who has tried knows. It's possible that no matter how hard you work on your site, it will never be among the top 100.

You can use pay-per-click (PPC) search engines to promote your lead capture page.
Google and Yahoo are the two most popular search engines. These are the advertisements that appear at the top of or to the right of search results. This is the fastest option, and depending on the key words you're bidding on, it could be inexpensive or very expensive (some keywords cost over $100) and there's no guarantee you'll get a single lead. If nothing else, at least some people will see your page. If you choose this path, do yourself a favor and learn the ropes first, or at least take it easy at first. It doesn't take long to waste hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars.

You can print fliers, hang them on bulletin boards around town, and put them on doors and cars.
You may calculate how many flyers you'll need to continuously pass out to meet your goals if you assume a 1-2% success rate, or 1-2 leads per hundred flyers. Don't forget about printing expenses. In addition to the time and money spent printing and distributing flyers, there are also the costs of ink, paper, and printer maintenance. Some individuals will throw them on the ground; therefore, you should ask permission from property owners or managers before affixing them to doors or vehicles. Keep an eye out for auto alarms, too.

One of the weekly spam messages you receive can be sent to 16,000,000 people for the low price of $29.95.

Please don't; it's for our own good. Avoiding a blacklist or legal trouble with the government is about as good as it gets. It's likely that the government will pay you a visit, and your internet service provider will cut you off. E-mail addresses are gathered by sending a tiny robot spider to scour the internet for them, finding them in places like message boards, newsgroups, blogs, and websites. They're bad news all around, and ignoring them could get you fired from your job since you'll be blacklisted. The cost is a good indicator of whether the leads are genuine or have been gathered. They are likely captured if they are absurdly inexpensive or missing crucial information like an IP address.

Calls from afar

It means exactly what it says. You take up the phone book and start phoning. If you have thick skin, this may be the most cost-effective method of lead generation for you. Keep in mind that contacting people on the Do Not Call List could get you in hot water. If you want to do this, you should check the laws beforehand. Telemarketing.donotcall.gov is the official website. I have no idea if there is a membership fee or not because I have never done cold calling.

You can buy leads from a company that generates leads for you.
However, not all of these are the same. Some businesses will sell the same lead to five, ten, or even people in your own firm, and they may continue to do so for weeks, months, or even years. The lead could be five months old, have received calls from ten or more individuals already, be exhausted from further interaction, or even have joined another company with which they are perfectly satisfied. Some are too expensive, and others, like contest sites, utilize questionable methods to drum up interest in their services.

You might also sign up with a lead co-op that offers leads that are only 1-3 days old and are only sold once. You should verify that the organization has a good reputation, has been around for some time, and values its clients or members. They should provide a presentation explaining what network marketing/MLM actually is in case the person has never heard of the concept or if your company does not provide a recruiting site, as well as multiple lead packages, training on how to effectively contact those leads, multiple autoresponders to make contacting them for follow-up (the fortune is in the follow-up), and training easier, and a lead capture form. The company's compensation structure is also important, as it will allow you and your downline to earn money for referring new people to the company's excellent leads. The website http://www.bestmlmleads.biz is an example of a lead co-op.

Keep in mind that, notwithstanding the source of the lead, it is your job to provide the person with information on how to launch a home-based business as soon as feasible. You're on your own if you ignored my advice and burned a spam CD.

Consider whether or not the approach you choose can be replicated by your team members and yield consistent outcomes. But that's a subject covered in a prior article.
